Farewell from Us!

A year has gone by since Cafe Morningside first opened its doors in the quiet little square off Well Street…

Many a cuppa coffee, many a laugh and a lunch later, the time has come for the morningside team to part ways, as new chapters begin. Onto new jobs, travels, and new babies!!

Thanks to ALL the wonderful people who donated their time, skills, smiles and ideas to what has been such a fun project.

Biggest of UPs to Alex our super trooper chef, Gary and Wendy for all their help and patience, Chinneal for her hard work, cupcakes and constant entertainment, Raj our trustworthy and smiley volunteer, Marie our top promoter, Peaches for being so reliable and helpful, and Andy, our most regular regular for all his stories..!

We may be spreading our wings, but Cafe Morningside will live on! Watch this space.

Where it all began!

Where it all began!

MORNINGSIDE FUNDAY

Thanks to all who made Funday at Morningside such a special day!

The capoeira gang, the youth group, EcoActive, HMP, Hackney Playbus, St Luke’s, and all the Morningside friends and families who were there on Saturday.

Alex and Chinneal’s cupcakes and treats were gone in a flash..!

Supper Club for PITCH IT went very well indeed!

Last Monday we hosted an intimate Supper Club at Cafe Morningside for local organisation Pitch It and their team of budding mentors.

Based in Hackney, Pitch it links talented young people with creative, tech and media related careers through networking, one-to-one mentoring and work placements. The new group of mentors assembled for the first time here at the Cafe, to exchange ideas before starting the programme.

The guests were blown away by a hearty Brazilian feast, amazing refreshing mocktails, which perfectly accompanied the active discussions around the table.
