We should not turn a blind eye, but boldly face this new reality and learn from it.
Retired U.S. Navy Rear Adm. Tim Gallaudet testifying on UAPs (Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena) in front of two subcommittees of the prominent House Oversight Committee; the hearing is titled “Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena: Exposing the Truth.”
Why It Matters: In recent years, both Democrats and Republicans have made efforts to try to answer the question once and for all: Does “extraterrestrial” life exist? This hearing is the latest in a series of government hearings and reports that have picked up momentum in recent years – the first congressional hearing on UAPs happened in 2022 after a gap of 50 years. This March, the Pentagon issued a report confirming government investigations have not confirmed that any UAPs have “represented extraterrestrial technology.”
**Update** 24 hours after the congressional hearing the Pentagon released some new data, stating that they’ve received more than 750 reports of UAPs but confirming, yet again, that none represented “evidence of extraterrestrial beings, activity or technology.”
What was the takeaway from this week’s hearing? Witnesses and legislators both suggested the government has not been transparent with the American public about what is TRULY known about UAPs.
Why don’t we use the term UFOs? Unidentified Flying Objects has been replaced by Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena due to some objects *reportedly* appearing in the water.
