# What to put in your folder

Before you ask Claude to edit your Short, put everything it needs in one folder. Claude only uses what's in the folder, so it never invents a sound or grabs the wrong logo.

```
  broll/
  music/
```

## footage/
- **Your talking head.** The clip of you speaking, vertical if you have it. Trimmed or raw both work: Claude cuts the pauses and keeps the last clean take of every line.
- **Your screen recordings or B-roll.** The clips that show what you're talking about, one file per step if you can.

## broll/
- **The result you're showing off.** The finished thing your Short is about: the image, the clip, the before and after.
- **Any images you want on screen,** like character sheets, screenshots or product shots.

## music/
- **1 to 3 tracks you're allowed to use.** Claude picks one and keeps it under your voice.

## sfx/
- **The sound effects you already use:** whooshes, taps, clicks, a camera flash, a riser. Claude only adds them where your own videos use them.

## brand/
- **Your logo** as a PNG with a transparent background.
- **Any presets or fonts** your Shorts always use.

## references/
- **3 to 10 of your best finished Shorts.** The skill studies these to learn your style, and it only does this once. Pick the ones that look most like how you want every video to look.

## On your computer
- **Claude Code**, with the skill in your skills folder
- **ffmpeg**
- **Whisper** (`pip install openai-whisper`)
- **Node.js 18 or newer**, for HyperFrames (`npx hyperframes`)

Then open Claude Code in your folder and type `/shorts-editor edit this folder`.
